Ice fishing season started a few weeks ago in Interior BC. Here's a video from our first trip. Enjoy.

There are comments that are unexpected to read on a fishing forum. This pretty well tops the list! 😀

If there isn't a bottle of bubbly at midnight, it's not New Year's Eve! ;D

Well there’s a New Year’s Eve I’ve never considered. Looks cool.

I came from the country that invented bubble tea, and I've actually only had it maybe a couple of times in my life... :o

I drank Early Grey on NYE, like an old man. ;D

Yup, Taiwan. Taiwan is known for much more though! Not a big fan myself. The bubbles are like gelatin. I am not a big fan of Earl Grey either. Of black teas I tend towards English and Irish Breakfast.

I haven't visited Taiwan since 1991, but my connection to the country is pretty strong since my parents have a place there and were still going back and forth all these years. We were supposed to visit it in March 2000, but that got canceled obviously. I was hoping to do it before my dad passed, but it just hadn't really been possible post-covid until maybe now.

Early Grey is not my favourite. Lady Grey, English and Irish Breakfast are. We just have a lot of Early Grey from Costco since that's the one wife likes to drink... :-X

More ice fishing pics...

This year I've started mentoring a young lady who has wanted to get into the YouTube game. This was Linda's first ice fishing experience and the first fish was a pretty good one! 17.5in brookie.

Any recommendations on lakes to visit next weekend? ~ 3-4 hour drive from Vancouver. Not sure which elevations would be good with all this warm weather recently. open to 4WD lakes aswell
