Beach fishing for coho

Relatively new to this... do coho present themselves relatively well off beaches?  In other words, do you usually see them jumping?  Or are they more regularly hidden and you just blind cast like you would with trout? 

I know with pinks, you basically know they're there as they jump and surface a lot.  Just not sure if coho act the same way off the beaches.
