There have been Asian carp being caught in Canadian waters since 2012, although, to my understanding, not in great numbers. I grew up on the shores of Lake Huron and yes, it they took hold in the Great Lakes, it would catastrophic.

Hoping that the US Army Corps of Engineers electrified fence at Chicago can mitigate the inevitable.
