L Pod Orcas in Monterey California

Southern Resident Killer Whales L Pod whose home territory is Salish Sea & Puget Sound were sighted in Monterey Bay California  in early April approximately 1000 miles from where they usually hang out. Presumably headed south looking for chinook salmon .Last seen down there in 2000. Several articles published on this surprise sighting including USA Today and Facebook
