Any Salmon River fishing near Nanaimo?

Heading there quite soon, wondering if there is any targeting of salmon from land there going on presently?

Nanaimo river for cohos and chums. Check the regs.

nothing open for retention until Nov 1st. No coho retention listed.

From what I can tell from the regs, you can currently fish for Salmon in the Nanaimo River as long as its only catch and release. I could be wrong though and am interested in this myself.

I believe it has to say No Fishing for Salmon or No fishing for Coho otherwise you can fish but not retain.

Intended to shore fish salmon, wound up boat fishing trout at Fuller. Nothing killed but some pleasant hours...

Fished Fuller Lake, caught one rainbow trolling a rooster tail and worm, lost it at the boat...
