Pacific Northwest Beach Flies Advanced Fly Tying Class



This one day class takes a fresh and modern approach to tying Beach flies. We will introduce commercial techniques for tying beach flies for the Pacific Northwest. We will cover new redressing techniques for Salmon Flies for local waters. We will cover patterns for rivers, estuaries and oceans using a variety of modern materials. Patterns covered will include Candy Flies, Tungsten Euphasids, Two Minute Minnow, Beach Clousers , Salt water Special and more!



Dennis Gamboa from The Fly Box will be your Instructor for the Workshop. Dennis has been teaching fly tying classes for over 20 years all over the Lower Mainland. His specialty is Saltwater flies from local waters to exotic destinations he is a Master of the art of commercial tying with over 25 years experience on his Regal Vise.

His creativity and design has earned him a spot on The Lagartun Pro Staff Team and he is also the newest Partridge Pro-TEAM Member to represent the West Coast of BC Canada. He is a contributing writer to Inspired Spaces and part of the Flymen Fishing Company Commercial Fly Tyers (CFT) Program.

Date: Saturday June 23
Time: 10am – 4pm (1 hour lunch break)
Pre -Registration required
Prerequisite: Fundamentals 101 or Equivalent

Course Materials included.

Please bring your vise and tools , uni-mono thread, Lagartun 95d or 70UTC in fl. Pink, Orange and Chartreuse threads. Uv light and resin.
