Is it too soon for a thread?  I've been laid up with a cracked ankle ugh.  Has anyone been out lately.

Thanks!

I spent couple hours scouting the river yesterday.  I was at Keith Wilson bridge and train bridge.  I did not see any salmon standing on  the bridges. There were some trouts and sucker fish.  I met couple seniors who was scouting as well and they said they saw nothing.   According to them all the commercial fishing in the Fraser had scooped all the springs.  Water level was very low.  I saw no one fishing at Vedder crossing.  We definitely need some rain..

I have never seen a salmon standing on the bridge.

However I have stood on the bridge, looked into the water and seen salmon. Even saw steelhead down there and once a seal!

I explored a part of the canal between Keith Wilson bridge and the Highway bridge yesterday identifying 'snags' for future reference (low water conditions). Did not see anyone fishing or any fish. Water is 'gin' clear and very very low - almost like a 'creek' not a river. Hopefully the rain projected for this weekend will help...first I went and retrieved my two sockeye from the Fraser...

I would never have thought Ralph actually had a sense of humour. What will it be next? Snow in July?

The nets will keep it slow and rain needed. First light tide and last light show for now. There should be a few jack spring and coho trickling in. Odd adualt. Still about 2 weeks to the main push of springs. Coho as well slightly later than springs for main push. But coho will be coming in from now till nov. I wouldnt be suprised if there are a few in the hatchery already.

Went up to the hatchery today to take a gander...... The worker up there said they got 500ish red springs, already had a few coho in the channel as well as the odd spring. River is pretty low and clear as others have said.

Yes....... 1100+ views before there is even any water to support a fishery worth discussing.  ???
