I personally don't think sockeye will ever open again on the Fraser.
if the forecast comes in close to what DFO predicts,  there might be a great Fraser in river snagging season this year. There is concerns about Cultus lake returns of sockeye that may stop lots of saltwater commercial fishing which will leave upwards of a million TAC available for the sport fishermen in river. Just a wait and see game

The saltwater rec sector needs to close as well or this is BS. Along with commercial and FN.

saltwater restrictions will come when DFO implements the IFMP.
Freshwater was easy to close.
Be ready for something like a one a day, 2 in possession chinook limit for all the northern saltwater fisheries.
Not a good year to be a north coast salmon fisherman
