Thanks for the heads up Chris. I was going to head out for late morning. Maybe tomorrow we will see improvement.

Another snowy day here in Chilliwack, well the snow has stopped some freezing rain, side streets will be bad for a bit. I need to get out there as the Master got his first on his 9th trip. May go after badminton, will report conditions if I do.

So, it’s been monsooning in the city for two days - I figured even with colder temps and snow in Chilliwack the river would be out but the graph shows it keeps dropping. Maybe fishing will remain on my wish list for this weekend after all....?

Made my third trip out for 2 hours this afternoon, I felt I was lucky to have a steelhead on for a couple of headshakes as I have now fished a total of 4 hours. The fish grabbed the roe bag just as I started to reel in so did not get the opportunity to set the hook, felt good to have one on, even so briefly.

Then on getting back to the Leaf Mobile near dark I found I had a flat tire, glad to have a pump that runs off the cigarette lighter, did not want to change it in the pouring rain.

When I left visibilit around 2 feet, not sure what the rain coming down now will do to the visibility tomorrow. :-\

The river level chart shot up so if the heavy rain continues overnight, weekend fishing may be toasted. Sigh!
