2017 Tidal Fraser fishery and water condition update
« on: October 07, 2017, 08:33:21 AM »

Today is the beginning of the tidal Fraser fishery for coho. Perhaps we should have an update thread on this just like the Chilliwack Vedder thread. I will go out to try this fishery today and come back to report later.

Was at a busy Surrey area bar. Not a coho by mid morning and that were over 30 rods. Is it a disaster or what?

Fished langley area with pink procure roe 8-11ish. I was skunked, saw a chinook jack caught and a couple coho caught. Pretty quiet considering there was about 15 people fishing in my line of sight.

Probably the blob effect with slow fishing for coho. Lol. Was fishing near Port Mann Bridge at rising tide from 4 to 6. Fish were rolling but not biting. Only the boat guys bagged a coho and a spring and all land based guys were skunked..

Dropped by Brownsville to check out the action around 5pm today. Spoke to a couple of guys and they said it was very slow. Only one wild coho caught and released all afternoon.
I then drove along Hwy 17 towards Alex Fraser bridge and saw around 3 commercial nets out.
