Alta Lake, May 14th 2018
« on: May 15, 2018, 09:33:14 PM »

Spent a couple of hours after dinner last night chucking 1/16oz Croc spoons at Alta Lake. Water temperature was surprisingly high, 67F. I thought maybe my thermometer was broken and stuck my hand in the water, it did feel like 67F... Managed to hook a few rainbow trout, only one was good size. Finished the day with one cutthroat trout around 18in. Lake was flat calm, T shirt and shorts until dark, so can't complain.

This year start with cold spring, and suddenly the temperature increase drastically. I found the lakes in lower mainland is toasted one week ago.

Took the family out briefly this morning, a couple of nice rainbow trout.
