Maybe due to the numbers, there are some fish that survive to grow large enough to be caught and kept.

Catchable hatchery raised fish are usually readily identified by ragged and/or stunted fins and such from the hatchery environment. You seem to fish Mill a lot, have you ever landed one that looked healthy enough that it might have grown 'naturally' from the fry/fingerling stage in the lake?

Oh I've caught many mint condition trout from Mill Lake that you would never think were factory fish. I've also caught a ton of fish with nibbled or missing fins or quite deformed bodies and fins. Still fun to catch on a 3 and 4 wts.

Lafarge and Como were stocked today according to Go Fish BC's FB page.  Rice appears to be delayed due to ice still lingering around.
