I was out between 0830-1130, fished the south side from mid to lower.  Water condition was clear.  Saw a school of sockeye this morning in the lower.  Unfortunately, I did not connect with a fish and I did not see anyone connect with a fish either.  Spoke to an angler leaving the parking lot as I was heading in.  He caught nothing either.

River is blown out. Should be okay tomorrow morning if the rain holds up.

  • We need longer weekends...when fishing is good

Fished the crossing and the lower part late this evening and the river was in prime condition.

Sorry guys, I was pretty unclear. I was in the upper around 5:30 and it was milk chocolate up there. By the time I left around 7:30 it was chocolate at Tamahi. Also heard it was chocolate even up past the boundary. The heavy rain must've triggered a bit of a slide or something. It might be totally fine down river. Should be fishable up top by the morning as long as rain holds.[/img]

Lots by the crossing tonight I think, because the cel phone zombies were everywhere along the Rotary Trail. ;)

Lots of sox in the river. Too many trout in the lower section stealing bait, further upstream has been producing more consistent hook-ups if you are interested in catching and releasing them sox.

Slowwwww as in you didn't connect or see anyone connect with a fish....or slowwww as in there were very few fish?

I would have thought that this time of year (considering that we had more rain this time this year compared to last year), that fishing would have picked up by now.

And did you fish North or South of the Keith Wilson bridge?

On a separate note, when I was at the Vedder last week, parked at south of Lickman Rd / Keith Wilson Rd and the piece of metal was southwest of that.  The metal appears to belong to a vehicle.  I would hate to see the river carry it and it crash into an unsuspecting angler wading downstream.  Unfortunately, short of a wheelbarrow or a stretcher, I could not carry it out or even drag it out due to its size.  Does anyone know of a number that I could call to have it removed?

Fish or cut bait.

In all honesty there's not a lot of springs in there anyway.
Some have been caught but it's not Coho season.
This is a much smaller run.

Of you can get.out enough you might be able to track them down (but some luck is needed).

A great time to get out though and explore the structure with these lower water levels (so you have an idea of where to go when the fall rains begin)

And I'm thinking it's better than Pokemon Go.
