Spey Casting - "The Basics" with Aaron Goodis

During the prep night you will be taught all about the gear and the theory. We will discuss the difference and pros/cons between Skagit, Scandi and longer traditional spey line’s. Spey rod selection will be covered along with fly selection and shooting line selection. This prep night will teach you everything you need to know about spey fishing equipment.

Approximately 1.5 hours – this night is for students signing up for either class date.

Spey casting River Session’s are designed for beginner to intermediate casting levels, students who have never tried spey casting before or those who have been in the game but would like a solid tune up are welcome. Cast’s including Switch, Circle Spey and Double Spey will be covered. Skagit lines are the preferred choice for this class however those who own shorter full length lines are still welcome and should find the instruction beneficial as well. Students should come away from this class with a much better understanding of spey casting techniques and should feel much more comfortable when on the water angling with the spey.

Come join us for a relaxed, fun and highly educational day spent learning all about spey casting.
