Your cheap fishing kayak solution
« on: August 24, 2015, 06:05:03 PM »

So I've had people ask my kayak setup before, and I've always put off taking pictures of it.

It's basically a mash up of Home Depot attachments,
50ft of rope with a 10lb anchor. Fish finder I've wired to run off a 12v Milwaukee battery, and a rod holder bolted down. Also a place for my paddle to be out or the way when anchor fishing.

It's worth noting I sat in it and marked places to mount things that wouldn't affect my paddle stroke.

This is what I think I bought on sale for $350. If I can recommend anything is get one you can stand in, as that would make fly fishing much better.

Really cool set up!  I have a 3 person kayak I often use for fishing, it might be time for some upgrades.
