Good morning all!

Last week the Grist Goeson memorial hatchery in Coquitlam released a healthy batch of coho smolts into the Coquitlam river with the help of kids and adults in our community(<5,000 smolts). Today we are going to be releasing ~3,500 more into the river and invite you to bring your kids down to help release the them on their journey.

Grab a bucket, get some fish and walk them down to the river and release them. Very small informal event last about 15-20 minutes. We will start releasing between 5:45pm and 6pm tonight.

Thanks to those of you who came out! The kids who came had a blast releasing the fish.

We should be releasing up to 20,000 more before the end of June, depending on their size..

I will keep you guys updated.
