HMX Mooching/Pin Rod
« on: November 02, 2014, 12:33:46 AM »

Regarding the one I can buy today, is it and uplocking reel seat or down? What else in the sub $150 range, medium or med-light..???.. with an uplocking seat would anyone suggest anything else. Trophy XL? Okuma?

10'6 or longer? For ease of casting, without sacrificing too much in the way of backbone, am I looking for medium-fast, slow or fast or does it not really matter that much?

Likely use it for steelhead. Think I'm going to stick with my levelwind for salmon. And likely just going to pair it with an Okuma Adventa or something along those lines...

thanks

I have both trophy xl 10 6 and fenwick elite tech 11 ,3. Like them both. If I absolutely had to pick one it would b the trophy. Also have rapala custom float 11 6 which im im looking to part with, as it is just collecting dust.

I have a Fenwick Elite Tech 13 ft 8-12 medium light, is this rod light for chum? Should I keep this rod for smaller salmon only?
