Boat registry back east
« on: July 21, 2014, 03:07:22 PM »

I am wondering if anyone could give me a time frame of when I can expect to receive my new boating # for over 10hp.I sent the forms off today that I got from the dealer. If all was filled out properly then they say 5 business days plus mailing time.Does this sound correct or is there a faster way? Just want to be prepared as I have read of horror stories already!  Lol
Thanks :-\

Expect up to 3 weeks. BTW, you are still good to ride your boat for 90 days after the date of purchase. I would call Transport Canada for details.

2-3 weeks in my experience.

I sent mine in, waited 3 weeks and got it back with one small thing was filled out wrong.

Corrected it, mailed it in and I think got the papers back in just over two weeks.

As posted above, you are good to run your boat for a while without numbers as long as you have proof of purchase, but I don't understand why there is not an online way to submit the forms instead of having to mail everything back east.
