Nita Lake
« on: June 02, 2014, 08:55:13 AM »

HI,

I'm heading up to Nita Lake in Whistler for a wedding....and I thought I may have a chance to cast a line in.  Probably from the shore/dock or a boat rental.

Any tips on which flies to take?

Thanks for any advice!

I've actually had the most success on dry flies (Adams and elk hair caddis) around dusk. I've found casting to rises with a nice dry works a treat. If I don't get a hit in the first 30 seconds, add a few twitches or 1-2 inch quick strips. One evening a had a fish on almost every cast. Mostly small rainbows, but lots of fun.
