i had a spring and the tip broke here is the pic of where it broke from 
is it possible to fix it? is it better to send this for warranty? or fix it locally? if i fix locally and they put a diffrent tip would the sensititvy change or something ? and give the rod a diffrent feeling? i still have the broken tip thanks!

This kind of break is almost always due to high sticking. Some manufacturers won't warranty a break like this.
It is repairable but it will definitely change the action. Best to get a replacement section from the manufacturer.

i never hit anything tho so the warranty wont fix it ?

send it back for warranty and pay the repair fees associated with it.

my wife slammed my 5wt in the truck door and broke it near the tip. after shipping and warranty fees its around $80 with taxes. This was for a Sage rod so im not sure what Scott charges

Yup my rod is under warranty I talked to them today they said they will fix it I just have to pay for the shipping back which is 50 bucks and 28 bucks from surrey to Montana
They said they will replace the section so I will have the same action as brand new  . So they won't put a tip top only thing is it takes 3weeks and chums and coho are here I won't have my winston I guess I will use my reddington or my tournament fly rod

Exactly the same warranty Sage has. you pay to ship it there, $50 fee for repair and return shipping. will cost you $70-80 once you add in taxes

I think almost any rod company has a warranty nowadays. some make you pay per section busted (TFO for example), some make you pay a base fee and send you a full brand new rod (G. Loomis for example) while most I think do it the way described here.

I heard G loomis is warranty is good once if you send once and it breaks  again you have to pay again extra

Also Gloomis are expensive so they should send a new rod haha.i was looking for loomis blanks they don't sell them anymore tho so I'm debating a st.crox or rl.winston or a sage lol I was looking at a St. Croix SCIV/II Fly Blanks are they good?

This happened to me with my girlfriend....while on a camping trip away to an interior lake...on day 2!! To my only fly rod to boot...let's just say...things were a little quiet around me for the next couple hours...she kept her distance lol.

typical waiting period for any rod warranty is 6-8 weeks. My 5wt took 10 or 11 weeks to come back and yet my Sage drift rod was back in like 3 weeks but is now being rebuilt 

Outdoorsman - Thank god for me I have 2 setups for fishing interior lakes. Of course after she toasted the one rod my 4yr and I had to share because he was reeling in all the fish hooked on the 5wt while I used my 4wt

after this happened I realize I need to have a couple more back up rods
