DFO Crackdown.
« on: August 16, 2013, 02:49:52 PM »

Heard the DFO and RCMP were patrolling the upper Fraser last night looking for poachers using drift nets and this afternoon seized two boats under the Aggazsis bridge...

They've been on the tidal a lot also in the last week.
RCMP got a new nice jetboat.
Good to see them out at least.

they should make this well known, and make examples out of poachers. Whatever race it is it will not be tolerated. If this is true then it's good, but as for now its just heresy.

A little more detail...my buddy was camped on the upper river and bar fished yesterday till dark, they were up till late enjoying some beveridges and saw persons using a drift net come past them. A couple hrs later DFO and RCMP showed up using search lights looking for the poachers. This afternoon upon leaving they saw first hand the DFO sieze two boats near the Aggazsis bridge...

The fish are more important than politics or racial demand. Conservation should be the top mandate. Good job DFO.
