Hello Anglers,
We are getting prepared for a busy spring stocking program.  As long as water temperatures co-operate we are scheduled to stock Rice, Como, Lafarge, and Green Timbers on Tues. March 19th.  We tested a small number of Catchable Rainbows into Mill Lake yesterday and they looked really good.  We also put a couple large brood fish into Mill which should cause some excitement if caught!!   Good Luck Everyone and stay tuned for more local stocking updates.

Is March 19th stocking at Rice and Como been confirmed? I can't find anything online, except the information in this chatroom.

Stocking schedules are always tentative and may change in the last minute for a variety of reasons. If the difference between temperature of water at the hatchery and water in the lake is too big, then stocking is delayed to prevent high release mortality. Once stocked, the hatchery will confirm by either posting it here or emailing me. The information will usually be available a day or two after stocking.

Just communicated with the hatchery this morning. Water temperature remains a challenge. They'll be putting some into the learn to fish ponds at the hatchery tomorrow as a test. If all goes well, first stockings are now tentatively scheduled for March 21st.

just got off the phone with the hatchery. no lower mainland stockings today. Thursday they may stock a couple lakes, likely lafarge and como. water temps are still too dissimilar..

Yesterday learn to fish ponds stocking went well, so the hatchery will attempt to stock Lafarge, Como, Rice and Green Timbers tomorrow.
