lucky:
well im off to put the boat in a cates park and do some crabbing and sole fishing , last sunday was great! all 8 of our crabs where at least 7 " and we threw a few limits worth or redrock back, we also caught 14  nice sized sole, which where very tasty, cooked them up into a sole flourentine with creamsauce and spinach.  will sure be nice to catch some fish after a rather slow day at the cap yesterday

Spudcote:
Just out of curiosity, does the fact that there is an oil refinery opposite the park have any effect on the crabs ?

The_Roe_Man:
Sounds like you had a good day.  I often bring our boat around the bellcarra , barnet area and crab. I havn't really done too much fishing from the boat when we go.  If you don't mind, could you share your setup on how to catch the flat fish.  Thanks.

Mabelingwane:
How would you catch them Sole thing's?

newsman:
Try using a heavier mainline with your weight on the bottom like you do when bottom fishing. The drag the weight with a slow troll. Don't go too fast you want to keep the weight on the bottom. Draging the weight stirs up the bottom which get the Sole and flounders moving around looking for food. You can do the same by casting and reeling just make sure that weight is stirring up the bottom. You may get a few more snags you shouldn't lose too much gear with a heavier mainline, and you will catch more fish.
