anybody heard of any lakes in the merritt/kamloops areas with the ice coming off.

Yes, some lakes are free of ice.

Another update from Sea-Run Fly and Tackle.

Holford's Hot Ice-Off Reports for B.C.'s Interior Stillwater Fishery:

George Holford, a member of the Sea-Run Team, and avid stillwater angler, will be giving us weekly ice-off updates for the next couple weeks so that you can be successful in your upcoming stillwater travels! George has put together a list of lakes that are ice free or almost ice free.

Lakes that are Iced-Off as of Wednesday, April 18th, 2012:

- Willard Lake
- Barnes Lake
- Morgan Lake
- 6 Mile Lake
- Stump Lake
- Jacko Lake
- White Lake (Turning at the moment)
- Forest Lake
- Gardom Lake
- Horseshoe Lake

My buddy Marshall lives in Merrit he,s doing a lake check tomorrow and Ill let you guys know, waters starting to sow on Lumbum so it will be a while yet.
