Cool - thanks.  Looks like they stocked Ivey with Blackwater strain fish.  I just noticed that the fish does not look at all like a Fraser Valley trout strain.  In any event, nice fish.

I was feeling a little burnt out from steelheading .. well driving an hour and a half each way, then driving some more and getting skunked anyway .. but glad I decided to hit "one more run". He put up a great fight, and I got some much needed experience on landing in a specific area/turning a strong fish on a steep bank/bushes, and more importantly releasing a wild fish. He never left the water, released in under 10 seconds.

Last day out...
One of 4 fish hooked in 2 hours. This river has been unreal to me this year despite the low returns... 10 fish in 6 trips, with no trips being longer than 3 hours.
Will definitely put in more time next year for sure and escape the crowds...
