Bent Rods November Fishing specials
« on: November 02, 2011, 05:34:41 AM »

Hello folks, I hope you were able to get out and enjoy the bounty of Salmon that have returned to the Fraser Valley.

But in case you have'nt there is still lots of time to enjoy what is proving to be a great year for Salmon and Sturgeon Fishing.

Coho Salmon fishing has been very good this season, they continue to trickle in daily with many larger wild Coho now entering their rivers of origin. We have had a great year casting Spinners with light action rods for these acrobatic salmon. We typically fish for Coho till early December and this year with runs being late some great fishing is still to come.

While things were looking bleak for Chum runs, low and behold they have arrived in good numbers, we are now catching some very nice silver sided Chum Salmon. The late running Chum Salmon are pound for pound the hardest fighting Salmon you will encounter.
These Salmon have very red flesh and are quite possibly the most underrated Salmon for eating, they are actually great table fare and not just "smokers".

As the weather cools, it signals the White Sturgeon of the Fraser Valley to hurry up and eat their stomachs full in preperation of the long cold winter to come. Sturgeon fishing will be very good till well into December when the water will cool to the point where the large Sturgeons metabolism slows down.

If you are interested in a late season trip, please give us a call. Mention that you read this post and we will give you a $50 dollar discount off of your trip.

Have a great holiday season
