Rodney has mailed this out today to some of our volunteers but if you are not on the list here is the info.  Thanks for considering to come out to give us some help. Since 2001 one we have taken close to 65 tonnes of garbage off the Chilliwack Vedder River system. One can only imagine the mess that would be out there if so many had not given so freely of their time the last few years. ;D ;D

Dear CVRCS volunteers,

Our second Chilliwack River cleanup of 2011 will be taking place on Saturday
July 23rd! Registration is at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, from 8am to
9am. If you do not know where the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is, the
address is 5200 Sumas Prairie Rd, Chilliwack. Directions and map can be found

As most of you have noticed, the weather has been unstable this spring and
summer, so please dress properly. A pair of gum boots or waders can be very
helpful but not necessary. Gloves, pick-up tools and garbage bags will be
provided by us. Chilliwack Tim Hortons will also be supplying donuts, coffee
and drinks as usual. The cleanup will take place from 9am to Noon. If you have
any questions, please feel free to contact us by email. We look forward to see

Chris, thanks for all the work you have put into this :) :) :)
To those people who fish or recreate on the Chilliwack-Vedder system, please join us on the 23rd.  It's a great feeling to give back some dignity to this marvelous watershed ;)

Yes Dave, this important river once again needs help. This cleanup usually has the least attendance, hopefully some people that have been unable to attend since we started in 2002 will give a couple of hours this Saturday, July 23 back to the river that thousands of people enjoy throughout the year.
