Whonnock Joe out in Maple Ridge. Just had him build me a sage 2106 pin and he did an amazing job. He has been building rods for around 50 years so he really knows his stuff.

Just a baitcasting rod....Brian Ford but make sure you get the top notch components for a worthwhile build.
Does he build centerpin rods too?

I personally haven't gone to Brian(Have a go to guy..) but have quite a few friends that have and for a quick quality build Brian seems to be pretty good. There are good builders and there are great ones, the great ones have more of a polished look to their builds almost like the rods were factory made.

When it comes to rod builders there are a handful of known good ones but it's hard to get a rod built quickly because of their work load or availability.

i do not want quickly ,i want top quality.

I got Brian Ford to custom build most of my Sage and G.Loomis Casting, C.P and Fly rods. He does very good job. Go and check out his store.

My first custom built Sage C.P rod was done by Brian Babcock about 23 years ago.(Babcock Fly & Tackle). I think he sold his store long time ago.

if your out in the city, brian ford builds a very solid rod, kind of plain and in a certain style that is  his own but very well built none the less. ive also heard excellent things about walter at sea run, apparently he builds some very very nice custom rods...

for out in the valley my buddy oliver of swiftwater guiding probably builds the nicest rod around.
