Still a bit too cold. When it warms up use little jigs under a float. Cast out let it sink reel it in a bit and repeat.

from my past experience I'd say they don't start showing up in numbers until the weeds are near the surface....still awhile to go.  but you never know.  Also, they're quite small.  I think they're targeted pretty heavily in the summer.  I once seen a couple in a paddle boat keeping craploads that were about 4 or 5 inches long.  there are better crappie holes around if you do a little exploring...

They're all in around 8-10m deep under surface now. Use small green tube with a weight, you can catch 20(limit) in 2 hours.

I believe the limit is 20 per day, so good on those folks for keeping "craploads".  Hopefully will result in less stunted fish.

(sorry, don't know how to post a picture)

Nice catch. I have been telling people there are crappies that size in there for the last 10 years. At least some people will believe it now.

Shakespeare once wrote "No more of these bland as dishwater trout, make it pickerel and crappie for my table."

That's it, thanks bb2000.

They fight not good at this time because of lower water temperature, summer is much better.
