Hi Again Chris; after having read about all your recent losses, it was good to be able to congratulate such a deserving guy on that beautiful doe. I was the guy watching Chris (gracefully?) navigate the obstacles to get downstream. I was out for the first time this year with my 9 month old American Staffie pup (his first time ever, and he kept trying to bite my foam float and insisted on standing in the icy flow beside me whining the whole time), when I looked up to see a fellow in contortions, up river a little from where I had settled to start my day. I paid little attention as I can't see too far clearly and didn't recognise the venerable Maple Leaf faithful fan untill he was closer and raising his rod in an effort to get a little bit of tension on the soon to be reconfirmed chrome. That old leaf cap confirmed his identity to me and I put down my gear to assist and chat. I haven't spoke to Chris since my first child was born (that was five years ago Chris, do you believe it? And I also now have a three year old son as well). I do keep up on his exploits on this forum however (family priorities keep me away from my beloved flow). Chris showed me where he hooked the doe and I tried the seam as well, to no avail. Anyway, it was great to be back on the river for a little while yesterday meeting up and speaking with freindly members of my favorite fraternity. The dog loved it too and wants to go back (he told me so

). Didn't see any other fish caught while I was there and so went over to Fred's to see if I could get some gear and a haircut (helps to smooth things over with the wife). Great to see ya Chris.
