Jig fishing and tying seminar, January 16th 2010

Hatch Match'r Fly and Tackle will be presenting a jig fishing and tying seminar with Rod Toth of Bent Rod Jigs on January 16th 2010. Join Rod and learn all the inside information on fishing jigs for steelhead. Bring your vise and tools to tie 2 jigs. Hatch Match'r will be supplying the jigs and materials. A few vises and tool sets will also be avaliable.

Time: 2:30pm - 4:30pm

Location: Upstairs classroom @ Hatch Match’r Fly & Tackle (22935 Lougheed Hwy, Maple Ridge)

Cost: $5.00/person

I am interested in attending, however not all novice jig fishers/tiers are also fly tiers. What tools would you suggest that I bring? Thx.

The same tools you would use for tying flies. Hatch Matchers does have a few sets of these tools that they will lend out for the seminar.

Last night I attended his seminar at another fly shop.  Well worth attending if you have not fished jigs or even if you have.

As I alluded, I am not a fly tier, although I do have some tools tucked away in the garage. What are the tools that I need to bring? (sometimes you do need to be direct with me...)

  fly tying vise, bobbin for your thread, whip finisher, and scirrors.

Thanks for the reply Geff. Unable to make it work tomorrow, however myself and several buds are very interested. Would certainly want to attend if you did another prior to the fall salmon season.
