Thanx for the input.  Now the question is to bait or not to bait??  Will figure that out when I go to the tackle shop to fill up my reel with new fire line.

Have a great day

I just got back yesterday.  Fished Tues and Wed.  Tues was really rough, half of the boat got sick, including myself.  So sick that I could not even fish.  I concentrated on Hali, using a 12 oz Mudraker, no bait.  Worked great, caught a 36.5 lb Hali.  Did not spend too much time chasing Salmon, and I did not get any.  Was at the bottom most of the time.  The lowsy thing is that now I have to wait another 9 months before I can go back.

Have a great day

Rob.

Guides like to use salmon as bait on the west coast, but I think to find them is the key like any other fishing

with 14-20 fishermen on each boat, bait would not be a good idea.if you are going on the princess boats they are called the puke boats for good reason. take gravol or wear the patch, even if you have been boating in geogia strait without a problem. the swells were 8-10 feet monday and 7 people were sick on our boat. 7hrs of misery.
