Yea pretty much what FA said....
Should onyl take about 30 or so seconds.
Cook em till they turn bright orange and start "screaming".

You can also add salt to the water.
Taste doesn't vary much with the salt, tastes good either way.

One thing I would reccomend is only keep crayfish 8" or longer.
The only things you can eat are the tails and the claws so you need quite a few for a small meal for 1 person.

Someone told me that you wanted to make sure they curl up. If not you should throw them away.

Why would that be? And is it necessary?

Sounds like someone doesn't know what he's talking about.

Why would they not curl up?

Squeeze the tail and suck the head!

That is the great thing about this forum.

More minds... and people who DO actually know what they are talking about (clearly- I am not one of those sharp thinkers---- YET).

I am looking forward to getting my pot of water boiling after a day's fishing.
