well were home with a young Whitetail Doe and a mature Mule Deer Doe, my daughter did an awesome job!
We arrived on Sept 9th at 6pm a day before the opening, on the drive into the bush we spotted a few whitetails in a farmers field. We pulled over and decided to knock on his door and ask for permission to hunt his property tomorrow morning for the opening...the farmer was really nice and wished us luck, so Ashley and i made our out to set up a ground blind.

(Sept 10th, opening morning)On the walk in to the blind we spotted a bunch of whitetails running off, two stayed behind but made their way to the other end of the field. The whitetail was over a 200 yard shot from a ground blind. I didnt think she could make the shot but she was sure she could and did! On the walk to recover her deer i said "where did you aim?" she said the neck....and sure enough it was a neck shot
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOvUSyyXoIk(Sept 11,)After sleeping in Ashley and i went into an area looking for moose that a few friends suggested, at around 11am we decided to make our way back to camp to grab a bite and make up a new game plan. On the way back we had this Mule deer doe standing in the road, after waiting forever for it to get off the logging road to shoot it took off and went into the bush...we grabbed a few things and went in after it. Ten minutes later we thought the deer vanished! but noticed that it made its way back onto the logging road. We walked a ways down following it on foot til it stopped to feed on the bush line by a sand hill. One shot at maybe 50-60 yards dropped the Doe.
