Fishing Vancouver Island - Jordan River Area

I know Easter is a long way off...But I will going on a family holiday to the Jordan River Area at that time.
Question - The fishing over there at that time - I will be bringing a fly rod, now should I bring the six weight and oncentrate on Cutties in around the estuaries....Or should I bring the 8wt and search for Steelhead in the Jordan? Unfortunately I can only bring one rod.... as it is a "family holiday" and not a "fishing holiday"...
Any information would be greatly appreciated
