Hey Rod....did you walk from the campsite when you went fishing for the springs? and do you think you have to use roe - or would wool work..did you try other baits for the salmon..

thanks

We drove, but people can walk if they want I guess. We only fished with roe.

yesterday it was overcast all day and with rellies come for the evening I headed out early. Fish hard covering 5 runs from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, landing 40 bows. That's a catch ratio of one evry 4.5 minutes. Not one went over 1.5 pounds; in my opinion it is not us guys. I looked more closely at the river and the level is about two weeks behind dropping to where it normally is at this time. Still tring for the big guys.

Okay boys and girls the action is on; stones started flying into our freinds house Wen. evening. The fishing has been what is should be since. I won't say how many have come to hand or how many because I don't like to discourage novices trying for that first trophy, but I will say most would feed a family of 4. When I examined the stomach contents of one we kept for dinner last night I found "Stones" "Yes". "Come on down!"
