Vedder on the 15th
« on: April 15, 2007, 08:29:58 PM »

Had to go fishing by myself today since my activity partners, ABA and Supervest man weren't available.  Water was very fishable with probably couple of feet in the lower and same higher up.  Met a couple of great guys, Ron and his friend whose name I can't remember but has a reel I really really want!!!!  Managed to get a small wild buck to the beach but as I was fumbling for my camera he unbuttoned and got away.  Oh well.  I guess that's why I need to bring actiivty partners with me.   And yes, Ron, I got it in the same spot on a pink worm, awhile after you guys walked away.

Paul,
Were you on our favorite little pond? Did you use one of the club's boats?

Yeah, It was a perfect day too...almost no wind, swallows all over the water, hatch happening, even fish rising...BUT I just took the chironomid course and was determined to use my new knowledge even though everything screamed DRY FLY...got one bump and that was it...I'm thinking it's not a chironomid hatch but a mayfly one??? anyways, that damn white boat was  a leaker...and very short in the seat which made it uncomfortable as hell to use...Oops, sorry, i'm hi jacking "wader boys" thread here....sorry :'(
