Could anybody answer my questions about the salmon regulation in the Mamquam River?

The regulation says as follows in the Squamish River section,
 3. That portion of the Mamquam R. downstream of the BC Rail Bridge to confluence with Squamish R.

What does this 'That portion' mean?

My next question is that does the regulation say that we cannot retain any chum but can retain one hatchery coho upstream of the BC Rail Bridge in the Mamquam River?

That regulation means that you may retain chum salmon from the CN Rail bridge ( formerly the BCR Bridge) over the Mamquam River downstream to the confluence with the Squamish River. This regulation was reccomended by the local Sport Fish Advisory Board and implemented by DFO to protect the chum on the main spawning grounds upstream of the bridge. The quality of the chum gets awful very quickly once they have moved out of the main Squamish and into the tributaries. If you want clean chum, then fish the main Squamish River.

 One hatchery coho per day is allowed from the Mamquam above the rail bridge.
