Flies for the Stave
« on: October 16, 2006, 07:10:47 PM »

Hey, I'm about as brand new as gets with fly fishing, wondering what type of flies will strike me some chum if I head over the the stave and what kind of line I should use?

8 or 9wt dry line with a shooting head or sink tip. Flies that have worked well for me: Flat Black,  black Wolley Bugger, black Kaufmann Stone, Met Green, Dec 25, Happy Hooker, Squamish Poacher, Christmas Tree, and Dolly Whacker.
