Wow good luck in fishing the good spots in the upper river. After getting through that gauntlet no fish is going to touch anything..... Thats the reason I hate the lower river. I wish it would get cold and rain so these fairweather fishermen would leave LOL  ;D

Hahahah I was at lickman today as well for a few hours, i didnt take part in the ripping going on , but i through some small colorado blades and got some really solid hard hits but no hook ups there

I can't believe it's like that already! Where are these anglers coming from? Haven't they got enough sockeye in the freezer already?

Gonna have to put on the combat gear tomorrow :)

Cheers,
Nicole

Hey Chris one more question, are the long liners under kwb keeping their roe, or just throwing it away? I need some more 8)
If you get there at the right time before the gulls gulp it down you may get some as most just chuck it away. ??? As I have not much interest in keeping an adult I like to get a couple of skeins there. By using roe bags that amount will last a long time. ;D

Any pictures from today Chris? Any coho seen in the canal? Thanks ;)
No pictures, coho will be passing through the canal I am sure as they all past there of course. ;D Catch the incoming tide if you can.

Stopped at Yarrow on the way home for another coffee and one of their delicious muffins and then a quick walk out to KWB. The usual activity was in full force there with a number of springs falling to what I will call a unsportsmanlike manner.

I’m thinking a few strategically placed sand bags would have everyone shortfloating in a hurry. A difficult proposition, however, since the KWB crowd stake out their positions at the most insane hours. I drove over the bridge last year at 4am after a wedding party and saw 10 guys standing in the water like statues....a full 3 hours before daybreak. Go figure.

Forgot to mention the spring jack I retained today was red fleshed, it was just like red jack on the Fraser River.

Anyone else that has kept one this year notice the same?
