vinyl or powdercoat?
« on: September 22, 2006, 08:50:22 PM »

I make a million high-end spinners and jigs, but have only used powder coat.  Does anyone have experience with vinyl?  what's better, vinyl or powdercoat and why?  Thanks for your help.

I use powder on my jig heads. Bake them in the oven if you want them harder.

I bake them, and they end up very sweet.  I can bang them off several rocks before much chipping.  However, I just read an article that claims vinyl is more durable.

saw some great looking jigheads from Delta tackle tonight. They need to be painted, but they had a heavy wire , super sharp Mustad Ultra point red hook. Looked like the best  pre poured jighead that I have spotted in any stores in BC.
