need reel for bar fishing

Hi all, i bought a fraser king and im looking for a reel to go on it for bar fishing.
 I have a abu 6501c3 that i use for bottom bouncing, but was told too light for bar fishing! Is this right?
If so what would you guys recomend.
Ive looked at penn 975csld, abu 7001 and abu record rcn61 hc.
Penn out of my price range. would accept any input.

A penn 310 or 320 which I highly recomend getting. Is cheaper than a Abu 7000. Abu 7000 is about 179+ and a Penn 310 is 120+ orthe 320 is 130+

If you're near a http://www.westmarine.com they have the best prices on Penn reels.
