What does it cost these days to spool a C3 Abu with a mono 20 lb line and what make would you recommend?

It depends on how much line you need to put on.  You didn't tell us what size of C3 you have (6500, 5500???).  I just go to Berry's and spool my reels up with mono - might be 15 bucks per reel plus or minus.  Or - buy a spool (Maxima Ultragreen One Shot 220 yd) and put it on yourself.

Spooled with Maxima UG at Highwater tackle for 10$. I might try seaguar or berkley vanish next season or the season after.

My C3 is 6500.

As I remember Freds' was a little cheaper but I haven't spooled at Freds for two years and I just don't want to waste any of my time spooling the line on a day that I should be getting it wet instead! :)

Thanks to everyone who replied.
