pinks at the mouth of seymour river.
« on: August 04, 2005, 10:31:24 PM »

after my job i tried to fish at ambleside park. three anglers were fishing there.. however, no sign of fishes..

immediately, i decided to move on to the mouth of seymour river.
around 7pm, i saw about 5 fellows on the west side of the river, and more than 20 others on the east side.

lots of signs of fishes, rolling, jumping, running..
i saw more than 6 hookings on the east side, but i couldnt get any strikes from west side.

anyway, there was lots of fun, beautiful weather..
i have watched the river more than 3 weeks.. now i can say " there fishes come"

If you are fishing below the tidal boundary, yes you would need a tidal license.

Click on this: Tidal Boundaries of Area 28 and 29

Daily quota of pink salmon for the tidal Seymour River (mouth) is four. Non-tidal Seymour River is NOT open for pink salmon fishing.

Other information on fishing in Area 28 can be found on this page.

which one is the Seymour river?

Is that the one east of the 2nd narrows bridge?

Can one fish from mouth all the way up the river?

Thanks,

yes, you can only retain pinks in the tidal section ie. below the railway bridge.
