Gear for a salmon lodge
« on: June 24, 2015, 11:58:56 AM »

hello everyone, tomorrow I am hopefully going to work at a salmon lodge for the summer on the west coast, and I was wondering what kind of things I need to bring? I was told to bring some warm clothes, some work clothes, and some light clothes. That's all they really said to bring other then toiletries. I was wondering what else I should bring? If anything else?
Thanks for the help guys please reply soon because I am up there by 12:00 tomorrow.

Take a GPS unit so you can find your drifts and hot spots.
What are they setting you up with?
Some take their own pfds and preferred tackle.

Binoculars maybe.

You gotta bring what you'll be comfortable with.
Short notice but you don't want to be packing too much yet you won't want to be wishing you hadnt forgot something.
Some guides just take take folks on a boat ride with rods.
Others dial it in and stand out.

Take a good attitude, be personable, you are providing a service, an adventure, an experience.
Be able to tell stories and jokes and keep your tall tales (lies) in check.

Good luck.

In that case take your clothes ( for all types of weather)

A camera or two

You'll get out fishing; and stuff will be supplied but depending where it is I might even bring along a flyrod or spincaster with a few appropriate flies and tackle for beach fishing (if you think you might get some time ::))
