Dan Bailey Service Department
« on: May 14, 2009, 10:17:03 PM »

I recently had a problem with Dan Bailey EZ-Zip Guide Waders. The Zipper had pulled apart, which was my fault for using excessive force. They were basically useless without the zipper doing up, so I called Dan Bailey to see what the warranty policy was like. "Send 'em in, we'll help you out" was the response I got.

I've returned a lot of items for warranty for myself and customers and nearly every company out there charges a service fee or shipping. Then they have an in shop turn around time of anywhere from 2 days to 2 months (With the exception of Fenwick warrantying a rod after 2 years). Dan Bailey had neither of these problems.

They sent me a BRAND NEW PAIR of waders, NO service fee, NO shipping charges, and it was sent out the day it was received (checked my tracking number). I had a new pair of Waders in my possession less than 10 business days after I sent them out, and that includes clearing customs in both directions.

So, I am extremely happy with this excellent customer service, and thought no better way to pay back the favour than to spread the good word to my fellow fishermen.

Dan Bailey definitely gets a solid two thumbs up from me.

When I got mine I still worked at Pacific Angler so I got the employee discount, but I believe they retail for around $600.

I sent mine in and they aqua sealed the leak around the zipper and charged me 60$ for shipping. I could have bought several tubes of aqua seal for 60$............Dion you should rember this you were in the shop.

I do. But I wasn't the one handling it so I only heard second hand what happened. But it was another reason I was so surprised with the service I received.
