10.67 In February 2001, the Department told the Government it had wanted to focus on the minority of firearms owners that posed a high risk while minimizing the impact on the overwhelming majority of law-abiding owners.

However, the Department concluded that this did not happen. Rather, it stated that the Program’s focus had changed from high risk firearms owners to excessive regulation and enforcement of controls over all owners and their firearms.

The Department concluded that, as a result, the Program had become overly complex and very costly to deliver, and that it had become difficult for owners to comply with the Program.

10.68 The Department said the excessive regulation had occurred because some of its Program partners believed that

• the use of firearms is in itself a “questionable activity” that required strong controls, and

• there should be a zero-tolerance attitude toward non-compliance with the Firearms Act.

wow, never had that happen to me. did the 13ft break on you?
I should have specified but I’m referring to the 10’6 med heavy baitcast rod. I broke the tip section once from an accidental high stick and the other from general abuse. My buddy had a legacy spinning rod that broke on the top section. I have multiple trophy rods that have went through much more and survived fine and the amundson can bend in a U. Just my experience with them!

Trophy xl 10’6 or the Amundson 11’3 are closer to a sage. The Luhr Jensen rods are stiff and there is little backbone to provide room for error, if you high stick the rod it will break.

sorry to wake up an old thread but i've been using the LJ30FD13M3 13ft model 8-17lb last year and it's been stupid good. Got it for about $165 w/taxes and its been forgiving and strong beyond its price range. I'd definitely go with the longer rod to give you the xtra flex. oh and the luhr jensen float reel is equally high value. I think Petr herman uses it as well.

such a bummer, yesterday I was about to buy one brand new for 100$ but I didnt know that one piece is 10 ft and the second is 3 ft. It literally couldn't fit in my car any way I tried. It looked like really good quality  :(
