I asked my father in-law how to cook the abalone and he said to make a chicken based soup with the abalone. First boil water and dump in 1 whole chicken and the sliced abalone. Cook to a boil, then let it simmer for 3-4 hours on low heat to let all the flavors come out. Then add your vegetables ie. buc-choi and lettuce, and server with a oyster sauce.

My father in-law sells abalone to large restaurants for a living, and is a great cook. let me know how it turns out.

bone.

after cooking the abalone for 4 hours as suggested , the abalone was like eating an old heal with flavor .Other than the tuffness it tasted like what it was suppose to be . I have bought several more for this weekend but will cook the longer .
