CG just returned from the Leaf Bench going over the final lineup and called to give a report.
Leafs are looking sharp in the warmup while at the other end, the Bobsy Twins spent a considerable amount of time rolling around on the ice, Jovonaski tripped over the blueline twice, Naslund appears to have his skates on the wrong feet and Auld let in several questionable goals.

Well it didnt take long to get rolling along.
Kilger scored shorthanded just 5:06 into the game to give a 1-0 lead.

Just heard on the radio that security has been called to evict a rowdy Make Belief fan from behind the opposition bench. The man was described as a senior citizen sporting a worn out Make Belief hat and reeking of stale roe. Could this be our "one beer Chris " ? Just wondering. ;D

I think we'll see a picture of Chris on the back of the province tomorrow sitting all by himself at the end of the game asking how it could have happened. Well at least he supported the Canucks by buying a ticket ;D I think a lot of laughs fans jumped ship tonight!

No popcorn to choke on...I had to run a few errends and listen in on 980 for the last two periods. Your commentators are worse than the Leafs' and I only had to choke on the lame praises at Auld's lucky saves and Burroughs 10 flukey bounce garbage goal. Yuck! :P :P :P :P :P :P
Id say until we meet again, but your boys had better step it up so they can actually meet us in the playoffs. Not holding my breath seeing all those games against Chicago, St Louie and Pittsburgh coming up... :o :o :o
Anyway, in all seriousness, congrats on your win. :-*

Even though we did not roll to a win I certainly saw who is the better team first hand tonight as the Canucks looked awful for all but 5 minutes of the game.
In the dressing rooms with the boys after the game they were very surprised that the Canucks are as bad as we have been talking about on this forum. ;D ;D ;D
They figure there will be a major shakeup in the Canuck camp shortly and they sure hope they are not involved.

Just got back from the game after a quick brew at Steamworks. Some quick observations: Great atmosphere tonight with all the Leafs fans going against the Nucks fans. Constant chorus of “GoLeafs Go”, countered by chorus of “Leafs Suck!!“. Have to say the Nucks played just well enough to eke out a win. It wasn’t pretty. The Leafs didn’t play great either. Both teams need better goaltending. Naslund’s line was downright awful. If they ever decide to play hard the Nucks will go far. That’s a big if. Bertuzzi thinks he’s got Pavel’s skills, trying to make fancy plays that didn‘t amount to anything. I thought Sundin looked great out there, but he didn’t have the supporting cast. The highlight of the game was when one of the two skanks sitting in front of us exposed her bxxbs to a Leafs player skating by in the middle of play. I didn’t catch the player’s name (because everyone in our section was howling) but you could see his eyes caught a glance of her. It was a real Kodak moment.
