Its not the conditions you should be worried about its the lack of fish. :(

LACK OF FISH?.....in the vedder?this is in fact the best fishing year in the vedder for me. already 20 fish hooked and some released. floater you gotta move around and keep adjusting your presentation. in one area between tamahi and vedder crossing i changed presentation about 20 times in a 1 hour period and landed 2 jack springs and one female chum as my reward. no need to floss either. use small spinners or roe or wool eggs. only 2 hatchery coho so far but the fish are late and not all of them will bite everytime. keep trying buddy.

There is a big difference between being a bad typer and being careless.

Redtide I must of missed the part of your report where you caught the coho . I believe that is what Floater and everybody else on the river is talking about. Although it is nice just to get out and enjoy the river after a hectic week at work.

As of Monday morning, it is pouring rain out here in Chilliwack, and it is windy too.  So I expect the Vedder would be higher and definitely more colored than it was this weekend. And for those coming from out of town, driving conditions are nasty on the Number 1 highway, so take your time.

Arrived at the river at 10:45AM and the water level is very high and will only increase if it continues to rain.  It actually looks pretty blown with lotsa debris and tree branches flowing down the muddy colored waters.  Need to wait a few days for rain to stop and let the water level decrease and settle back down.  Not really worth making a trip, unless you like fishing these kinda conditions.

under the hyway bridge last week of september and somewhere at vedder crossing 1st week of october. its been a while but they are out there. and yes work does get in the way most of the time from me fishing more often.
